Asia in my Pocket 2012
Asia Society invites you to be a Global Leader
The recent participation of the Philippines in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Hawaii last November and the state visits that we’ve had from neighboring countries are all positive indicators of the growing relationship that we have with our Asian neighbors. Now that most countries in Asia are being recognized as growing economies and rising superpowers in our developing world, we should realize the need to maintain if not improve these good relationships. What better way to do that than to understand their history, culture, values and personally meet people from these countries.
The Asia Society Philippine Foundation, Inc. in cooperation with participating Asian Embassies and Consulates in Manila is inviting everyone to join ASIA IN MY POCKET, a training program that develops students and professionals into global leaders by providing them with a good understanding of the history, culture and business environment of Asian countries.
Highlighting CHINA, KOREA, SINGAPORE, MALAYSIA, JAPAN and INDIA, each session will give an in-depth discussion on the culture, investment opportunities and business and social etiquette in these countries.
The objective of the program is to equip its participants with the multi-cultural knowledge and perspective that is integral when interacting and transacting with different countries and nationals in Asia. These three-hour sessions will also give them the chance to dine with Ambassadors and Diplomats of the featured countries.
With this, we are inviting everyone to discover, learn and taste Asia by joining Asia Society’s ASIA IN MY POCKET program. Given the direction of growth in Asia, now is the time to invest in your future.
